Pakistani Golfers depart to Vietnam for Nick Faldo Series Final
Five members golf squad will participate in Faldo Series Final Championship from 1st -3rd March at Laguna Lang Co Golf Club Danang, Vietnam.
Team of five golfers from Pakistan will join the eighty-one total golfers from different countries which include Singapore, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand and China for Faldo Series Final. Pakistan Golf Federation has selected the most energetic and experienced Junior National Golf Team through three days trials for the Championship. The team of three boys and two girls will be participating in under-15, under-18 and under-21 categories.
Selected Golfers for each category are as follows:
Boys:
1. Damil Ataullah -under 15
2. Saqib Tufail -under 18
3. Ahmed Baig -under 21
Girls:
1. Humna Amjad -under 15
2. Aania Farooq -under 21
Vice President of Pakistan Golf Federation, Asad I.A.Khan will accompany the team as Manager. He is a golfer with considerable international experience. Before his departure for Vietnam ,Asad I.A.Khan was bold enough to predict a victory for Ahmed Baig in the under 21 years age bracket. Ahmed Baig won the Qatar Masters Championship in January 2018 and qualified for participation in the Qatar Masters European Tour Golf Event which is a first for any Pakistani Golfer. Asad I.A.Khan also expressed high expectations from Damil Ataullah and Saqib Tufail.
