NAVY defeat WAPDA, level series 2-2
Pakistan Navy thrashed National Volleyball Champions WAPDA in straight games to level the seven-match series 2-2 at Taunsa Sharif.
Pakistan Navy outshines Wapda in the fourth volleyball match by 25-21, 25-21 and 25-18 played at Government High School for Boys, Taunsa Sharif.
Mubashir from Navy was not on songs in previous matches, regain his form as he displayed his true potential and lead his side to defeat WAPDA in the fourth match. Mubashir was fully assisted by Khalid, Shuja and Razzaq. Sailors showed dominance from the start of the match where WAPDA players made some wrong serves and their smashes landed out of court.
WAPDA after going down tried hard to recover through Younis, Umer and Mohib but opponents defended their smashes successfully and in frustration, WAPDA players committed too many forced errors.
In the third and decisive set, both teams were ties on 15 all, Navy started pushing WAPDA hard as sailors beg the third set with the score of 25-18 to win the match.
Chairman District Council Dera Ghazi Khan Sardar Abdul Qadir Khan Khosa was the chief guest on the occasion and he awarded Navy with Rs. 40,000 while Wapda team got Rs. 30,000.
Earlier in the third match, Navy outplayed Wapda at Fort Manro, Dera Ghazi Khan where Sailors won the match with a score of 26-24, 26-28 and 25-22. Fifth match of the series will be played today at Layyah.
