PCB considering Malaysia new home ground: Najam Sethi
Pakistan Cricket board is in a hunt for alternative venues for hosting international teams and PSL editions as Pakistan’s home ground, chairman PCB Najam Sethi said in an interview.
Najam Sethi said PCB is taking initiative to make Malaysia the home ground after the UAE authorities has demanded a long term agreement.
Talking to a sports Show with Yahya Hussaini Sethi said he is going to Malaysia next month to check availability of stadiums and infrastructure facilities for organizing international series and PSL’s future events.
He said PCB is forcefully doing this as UAE authorities were asking for a long term mutual accord which is not possible for us.
Pakistan is organizing PSL in UAE during the months of February and March while Afghanistan has also declared UAE its home ground and planning to hold its own leagues in January so it becoming difficult for us to continue our cricket in UAE, Sethi added.
“it may get difficult for us to hold our own league and matches in UAE if other countries are declare Emirates their home ground and start hosting other countries and other league matches” Sethi said while talking to Hussaini.
He further said that considering Malaysia our home ground would also cut short to half the expenses of different series then UAE.
