Pakistan announces Weightlifting squad for Common Wealth Games
Pakistani seven weightlifters qualified for the common wealth games scheduled to be held from April 4-15 in Gold Coast, Australia.
Pakistani Weightlifting federation has selected the well trained and energetic weightlifters for the common wealth games after the trails taken at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. Seven weightlifters qualified for the Common wealth games but two are kept in the reserved squad. After three years Pakistani weightlifters are going to be the part of the Common wealth games.
Following are the weightlifters:
1. Nooh Dastagir Butt (+105kg)
2. Abu Sufyan (69kg)
3. Commonwealth top seed in snatch Talha Talib (62kg)
4. Usman Amjad Rathore (94kg)
5. Abdullah Ghafoor (56kg)
Whereas Jameel Akhtar (105kg) and Haider Ali (77kg) have kept in the reserve squad.
