Dynamites humbles Blasters in One Day Women’s Cricket
PCB Dynamites outplayed PCB Blasters by 4-wicket in the second match of Triangular One Day women’s Cricket Tournament 2018 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.
The most interesting and highlighted match played between PCB Dynamites and PCB Blasters at Multan cricket stadium where PCB Dynamites after winning the toss decided to field first and put Blasters to bat where Blasters score 139 runs in 46.1 over. Ayesha Zafar emerged as top scorer as she helped Blasters posting 40 runs in 55 balls by hitting 5 fours and she was ably assisted by Hafsa Khalid (23), Kainat Imtiaz (22) and Fazila Ikhlaq (20). Natalia Pervaiz was wrecker-in-chief of Blasters’ batting as she grabbed four wickets for 27 runs while Nida Dar and Aliya Riaz also bowled well and bagged two wickets each for 21 runs each.
PCB Dynamites started off well as their players Kainat Hafeez and Omaima Sohail made it possible for the Dynamites to defeated Blasters in 43.4 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Kainat Hafeez showed outstanding performance as she scored unbeaten 35 runs off 89 balls that included 3 boundries. Omaima Sohail also batted well and scored 53-ball 27 hitting 4 fours and Javeria Rauf smashed 40-ball 24 with the help of 5 fours. Ghulam Fatima (3-27) and Rameen Shamim (2-23) though bowled well for Blasters but their efforts proved futile for their team, which lost the match by 4 wickets.
Natalia Pervaiz of PCB Dynamites was nominated as the player of the match due to her marvelous bowling. Aftab Gillani and Kashif Sohail supervised the match as field umpires while Sohail Khan acted as match referee and Hafiz M Hamza official scorer.
