Pakistan joins ISF ahead of first mini Football World Cup
International Socca Federation elected Pakistan a member and designated Mr. Shahzaib Trunkwala as vice-president of the organization.
Pakistan earned the membership in 52 member governing body of International Socca Federation where Mr. Shahzaib Trunkwala was elected as Vice-President in recently concluded meeting at Birmingham.
Aim of organization is to promote mini-football of five, six and seven-a-side competitions, to regulate the affairs of the game and to organize global tournaments under a global body named “International Socca Federation (ISF)".
Inaugural meeting of the organization was held in Birmingham, UK on Thursday where 52 countries participated in the ISF’s formally launched ceremony. Pakistan was also given the formal status through Leisure Leagues, the organization promoting mini-football in Pakistan.
Shahzeb Trunkwala of Leisure Leagues was also elected as vice-president of the body, official statement revealed. ISF also announced first mini-football world cup to be held in Portugal in October this year where Lisbon was selected as the host venue for the cup.
