Komal triumph KPK women Squash league
Komal Khan thrashed Laiba Ijaz in a thrilling encounter by 3-1 in the final of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Women Squash League played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex.
Pakistan no.1 under-19 champion Komal Khan faced tough time against Laiba in the final of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Women Squash League. Komal starched the match to its limits and defeated Laiba in four set battle as both tried hard to rule the day. The set was tied at 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, 9-9, 10-10, 11-11, 12-12 and thus at the end Komal Khan thrashed Laiba Ijaz and won the set by 14-12.
Khyber Union of Journalist (KUJ) senior vice president Muhammad Naeem graced the ceremony as a chief guest and distributed the prize money position holder players. Former world champion Qamar Zaman, former Peshawar Press Club (PPC) president M Riaz, KP Squash Association executive committee member Sher Bahadar, Wazir Gul, Nazim Nawa Khali Sajjad Khalil and a large number of players and spectators were also present.
