Descon woes Honda to seal Premier Super League title
Descon beats Honda by 106 runs and won the title of Premier Super League at Arfa Karim Ground, Lahore.
Descon skipper won the toss and decided to bat first against Honda and their batsmen played beautiful and aggressive cricket as they posted 204 runs on the score board in 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Honda required 205 runs in 20 overs with an asking rate of 10.25 runs per over but Honda innings was cheaply folded by Descon bowlers on just 98 runs and won the match by a big margin of 106 runs. Descon’s Rana Tahir was given man of the match award.
Vice Chairman Descon Tanvir Dawood and Rasheed Bhatti were the chief guests on the occasion of final match. Chief guests presented the winning trophy to Descon’s captain while Honda was given the runners-up trophy.
Some other individual prizes were also distributed as Hafiz Sajid from Honda was named as best batsman of the tournament while Descon’s Wasim William was given the award of best bowler of the tournament and Mazhar Hussain from Descon was awarded with best all-rounder award.
