Gujranwala shocks Lahore to win All Pakistan inter board badminton championship
Gujranwala stuns defending champions Lahore in the final of All Pakistan inter board boy’s badminton championship organized by Sindh technical and educational and technical board.
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala board won the event for the first time after defeating defending champions Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore.
Junaid from BISE Gujranwala outplayed BISE Lahore’s Tayyab by 2-1 to win the championship. In the first set, Junaid defeated Tayyab 21-19 but Tayyab came back hard in the second set to win by 21-18 and level it to 1-1. After that Junaid never looked back and played aggressively in the all-important final set of the match by 21-17 to win the championship for BISE Gujranwala.
Chairman Sindh technical and educational and technical board, Dr. Masroor Ahmed Sheikh was the chief guest on the occasion and he distributed awards and prizes among the winners and runner-ups.
