DG Rangers Open squash starts today
The 11th DG Rangers Sindh open squash championship featuring country’s leading players commences today at the Sindh Rangers Jahangir Khan Squash complex courts.
Qualifying round for Men and Women categories were held at the same place and eight winners apiece qualifies for the main round. Farhan Mehboob and Samar Anjum are the defending champions in the Men and Women categories of $20,000 event. Total prize money of the event, to be participated by 32 men and as many women, increased this time. According to break-up, $15,000 will be disbursed among men while $5,000 has been set aside for women players.
The formal opening of the annual event was held today and Squash legend Jahangir Khan inaugurated the event. Sindh has given one wildcard in both men and women’s main draw. The finals will be played from December 30.
