Pakistan seal third position in Student Olympic Asian Games
Pakistan secures third position in the two day long Student Olympic Asian Games held in Larkin Stadium Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Talented Pakistani young Boy’s and Girl’s won gold, silver and bronze to bag the third position in two days long Student Olympics Asian Games 2017 at Malaysia. The games were held in collaboration with Students Olympic Council of Asia.
Pakistani girls in throw ball event won the gold medal while Pakistani boys secured silver medal in the respective contest. In the girls basketball event, Pakistan secures silver and the boys team ended up with a silver medal. Girls played brilliantly in the badminton event and grabbed 4 silver medals while boys finished with 3 bronze medals.
President Student Olympic Council of Asia, Dr. Vinar was the chief guest of the closing and prize distribution ceremony. He presented medals, certificates and trophies among the winners and runners-up. Secretary General Pakistan Throwball Federation Maqbool Arain commended the organizers for great event and also announced that 2018 Student Olympic Asian Games will held in Karachi in 2018.
The hosts Malaysia with 900 points secured 1st position while India earned second position with 750 points and Pakistan clinched third with 740 points.

- Malaysia first with 900 points
- India second with 750 points
- Pakistan third with 740 points
- Sri Lanka fourth with 600 points
- Singapore fifth with 500 points
- Indonesia sixth with 200 points
