Annie lifts CAS International Women Squash title
World No.11 Annie Au wins the Chief of Air Staff international women squash championship at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.
Hong Kong’s Annie Au outclassed Malaysian teenager Sivasangari Subramaniam in straight sets to win the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) International Women Squash Championship, 2017 a PSA W25 title. Winning score of Annie was 11-5, 11-7, 11-1 and she earned 14th title of her career.
Annie won the first game comprehensively with the 11-5 score. In the second game, Annie faces some resistance from the Malaysian Sivasangari Subramaniam but the veteran overcomes teenager and won the second game 11-7. Last game saw Annie’s complete dominance over the Malaysian as Hong Kong start won it by 11-1.
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, President Pakistan Squash Federation was the Chief Guest at the occasion. The Chief Guest awarded trophies to the players. Foreign diplomats, former World Champions Jahangir Khan, Qamar Zaman, along with a large number of squash lovers witnessed the match.
