Easy victories for giants in National Volleyball Championship

Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Pakistan Board, Police and POF outplayed opponents to register victories on the third day of National Men Volleyball Championship at the POF Sports Complex, Wah Cantt.

It was a good match practice for WAPDA against the minnows Balochistan. WAPDA flicks Balochistan in no time and earned victory. WAPDA also had the services of International players Naseer Ahmed, Ali Abbas and Mohib Rasool and Balochistan had no clue of their powerful smashes and lost the match 3-0. Only Anwar and Razzaq played well for Balochistan and earned some points but they failed to alter the results.

The all-round performance from Rana Amjad, Haider and Zaheer from Army pushed Railways out of the match. Army players had good understanding with each other and blocked the attack of their opponents.

Although, Pakistan Juniors played splendidly and gave tough time to POF in the pool B match but still the veterans won the match by 3-0. Pakistan Police defeated Railways in another match by 3-0. Pakistan Board thrashed Punjab team and did not allow Punjab to play freely and won the match 3-0.

  1. Wapda beat Balochistan 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-5)
  2. Pakistan Army humbled Railways 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-11)
  3. Pakistan Board defeated Punjab 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-17)
  4. Police beat Railways 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-16)
  5. The POF beat Pakistan Juniors 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-23)
