Pakistan make it to semifinal of Asian Netball Championship
Pakistan defeated Hong Kong in third successive match to reach into the semifinals of Asian Netball Championship in Malaysia.
Pakistan eared third successive victory in the Asian Netball Championship after defeating Hong Kong by 66-38 and qualified for the semifinal stage of the tournament. So far Pakistan emerged unbeaten in the tournament. Green shirts did 270 goals so far in the championship and conceded 180 goals to top the table with 16 points.
Earlier, Pakistan defeated Singapore in the opening match of the tournament by 72-55 and rivals India by 70-41 on the first day of championship. Muhammad Akhtar, Usman Bashir, Abid Ali, Mehboob Shah, Ali Raza, Muhammad Khursheed, Naseeb Raza, Masoom Abbas, Haris Kamal, Zahid Iqbal, Muhammad Rizwan and Samad Masood were outstanding players in the match against Hong Kong. Pakistan to take Malaysia in its fourth group match today.
Six teams are competing in the Tournament for the top honor including the hosts Malaysia, Pakistan, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan team won Silver Medal in 2016 edition of Asian Netball Championship.
