Nestle victories in Descon Super League Corporate Cricket Tournament
Nestle defeated the hosts Descon in the final of Descon Super League Corporate Cricket Tournament by 25 runs to win the title.
The Final was played at Bagh-e-Jinnah cricket ground, Lahore. After wining the toss Nestle decided to bat first and posted 164 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Muhammad Faisal from Nestle scored blistering 86 runs in just 42 balls with 6 fours and 6 huge sixes and returned not out while the other top scorer was Hamid Hayat who made 26 runs.
Waseem took 2 wickets for 24 runs while Descon captain Faheem butt and Babar Ali grabbed 1 wicket each. In reply, Descon only managed to score 139 runs in 20 overs for 7 wickets and lost the final by 25 runs. Syed Mujahid was the man for Descon who scored 66 runs. Umer Dasagit and Mubashir took 2 wickets each from Nestle.
Descon has organized the tournament on the account of its 40th anniversary celebrations. 16 corporate sector teams participated in the tournament.

The Chief Guest of the Final were Descon Senior vice Charmin Taimur Dawood, Vice Chairman Faisal Dawood, and top level management distributed the Awards, Medals, Prizes, and Souvenirs among the players and officials. Faheem Mukhtar Butt was congratulated by all for holding such a wonderful cricket tournament. Faheem Butt led the Descon team up to the final through successive victories in the earlier matches as a captain and managed every aspect of the month and a half long tournament in a successful and befitting manner.
