Army takes lead again in National cycling championship
Pakistan Army takes lead again over KPK and Wapda in the ongoing 63rd National Men’s & 12th Women’s Track Cycling Championship at the cycling velodrome Lahore.
Army cyclist came back strongly and leave Pakistan Wapda and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa teams behind on the day three of ongoing 63rd National Men’s & 12th Women’s Track Cycling Championship.
Day 3 concluded with Pakistan Army’s dominance in the championship as they won 4 out of 5 Out of 5 events of elite and junior categories today and grabbed 4 goal medals, more than Pakistan Wapda and KPK.
Pakistan Army won the 9000 meters team pursuit, Wapda secured second position while SSGC got third position. Army also won the 1000 meters team sprint (elite) event, Wapda stood second and SSGC third. Army’s Abib won the scratch while Nisar from Wapda came second and Waqas from SSGC came third.
In 1000 meter individual sprint (elite) too, Army’s Sabiha Zahid won the gold while Fiza Riaz of Wapda grabbed silver and bronze remains with Anum Mehmood of Wapda. In 500 meter individual time trial (junior), Nashmia (Punjab)?was winner, Faryal (KP) runner-up and Iqra Riaz (Baluchistan).
At the end of day 3, Pakistan Army still leads the Medal Table with 8 Gold medals, KPK in peruse stands on second position with 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals followed by Pakistan Wapda with 1 Gold, 6 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.
