Shahzad stuns Abid, face Aqeel in POF Ranking Tennis Championship Final
Shahzad Khan thrashed 2nd seeded M. Abid while top seeded Aqeel Khan outplayed young Muzamil to reach into final of ongoing 2nd Chairman POF Board National Ranking Tennis Championship 2017 at POF Tennis Complex, Wah Cantt.
In Mne’s Singles first semifinal match, Top seeded Aqeel Khan overwhelmed resilient Muzamil Murtaza in well fought three set match by 6-0, 2-6, 6-4 where he will face Shahzad khan who stunned 2nd seeded M. Abid in straight set by 7-6 (3), 6-3. Duo of Aqeel Khan/Shahzad khan moved into the semifinal of Men’s doubles event while Yasir khan/Abdaal Haider was given walkover againt Qasim Ali/Nadeem khan.
Pairs of Muzamil Murtaza/Mudassir Murtaza and M. Abid/Usman Rafiq also qualifies for the Men’s doubles semifinals. Later in the semifinals of Men’s doubles duo of Aqeel Khan/Shahzaz khan defeated Abdaal haidar/Yasir khan while M. Abid/Usman Rafiq ousted Muzamil Murtaza/Mudassar Murtaza to reach in the final of the event.
Asad Ullah defeated Saqib Umer but Yousaf Khan took some time to takedown M. Shoaib in the semifinals of Boys Singles under 18 matches. In boys under 14 category semifinal matches, Hamza Roman move his way towards the finals after defeating Hasham Khan Sami Zeb ousted Farman Shakeel in straight sets to take Hamza into the final. Hamza Roman also won the title of Boys/Girls under 10 after beating Shahsawar in straight sets.
