Saleem Baig seals Islamabad Master Tenpin Bowling title
Saleem Baig emerged as victorious in 11th Islamabad Master Bowling championship played at Leisure City Bowling club, Islamabad.
In the 11th Islamabad Masters Tenpin Bowling Championship, Saleem baig clinches the title. The two day championship was organized by Islamabad Tenpin Bowling Association in collaboration with Leisure City Bowling Club. The event holds only the master singles category which contained three rounds and a good number of national players participated in the event.
Ijaz Ur Rehman, Saqib Shahzad Afzal Akhtar, Saleem Baig, Ahmad and sikandar hayat qualifies for top 6 round after hard challenge. From top 6 round with an average total score of 171.3 Ijaz Ur Rehman moved to final round while Saleem Baig with 169.75 average, Sikandar 168 average and Saqib Shahzad get through in the final round with 166.3 average score.
In the final Round the each player got 2 games rounds in which Saleem Baib with a massive total of 380 and average of 190 wins the title of 11th Islamabad master championship. Ijaz Ur Rehman secured second position averaging 173.5 and total of 374 pin and Saqib Shahzad remained on 3rd position with a total score of 314.
Secretary Pakistan Bowling tenpin federation, Ijaz Ur Rehman while talking to media after the championship has said that main objective of the event is to boost the training and practices of Islamabad team for upcoming Saldera cup tournament which is scheduled to be held in Karachi. He was of the view that the federation is planning to arrange international coaches for the local players so they improve their bowling skills which will be beneficial for our players to display better performance in upcoming international events.
