Shahzad, Asher through to the final of 32nd ITF seniors ranking tennis championship
Shahzad Khan and Asher Ali Khan defeated their opponents to seal the birth of final match in Men’s Singles 35 plus category played at Pakistan Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) tennis courts Lahore.
32nd Pakistan ITF senior’s world ranking tennis championship moved into the final stage as Shahzad Khan defeated Syed Hadi Hussain Rizvi in straight sets by 6-0 and 6-1 and Asher Ali Khan ousted Hamayun Rana in the Men Singles 35 plus category and moved into the final of the event. In the first round of Men’s doubles 35 plus category, duo of Shahzad Khan and Irfanullah Khan outclassed Talha Waheed and Mehboob Waheed.
Talha Waheed and Shakeel Muhammad defeated their opponents in straight sets to reach the final of Men’s singles 40 plus category. Former Davis cupper Rashid Malik and Jahanzeb Khan also won their matches and qualifies for the final of Men’s singles 45 plus category.
In the 2nd round of Men’s singles 50 plus category, Muhammad Arif defeated Hussain Qureshi by 6-3, 6-1. Waqar Nisar and Gull Hamid also qualifies for the final of Men’s singles 60 plus category while in the semifinal of Men’s singles 65 plus category Asad Niaz thrashed Shahid Mehboob by 6-2 and 6-4.
