32nd ITF seniors ranking tennis championship continue in full swing

Pakistani players in full command in 32nd Pakistan ITF senior’s world ranking tennis championship played at Pakistan Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) tennis courts Lahore.

Pakistan players progressed in different categories of Men’s Singles and Doubles event of 32nd Pakistan ITF senior’s world ranking tennis championship. Shahzad Khan, Syed Hadi Hussain Rizvi, Arshad Ali Khan and Rana Hamayun Javed through to the semifinal of the championship in Men’s Singles 35 category.

In Men Single’s 45 category round robin matches, former Davis cupper Rashid Malik defeated Sajjad Rasul in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 while Jehanzeb Khan outclassed Irfanullah Khan in a hard fought three set match by 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Nasir Waqar, M. Ikramullah and Shahid Mehmood also moved to the semifinal of the championship in Men Single’s 60 category.

In Men’s doubles category of 35, Ijaz Chaudhry/Shakeel Muhammad and Ashar Ali Khan/Syed Hadi Hussain Rizvi also moved to the Semifinals of the championship.
