Pakistan confident for positive results in World Snooker Championship
Pakistani players are confident to show positive game and provide good results in the ongoing World Snooker Championship in Doha, Qatar.
Pakistani players have won 4 out of 6 matches played on Tuesday 21st November 2017. Muhammad Yousaf, Muhammad Asif, Mubashir Raza and Asjad Iqbal have won their matches while Muhammad Naseem Akhtar and Imran Shahzad lost against their opponents.
Muhammad Yousaf defeated Australian player Chris Todd by 3-1. Breaks of 40 put Muhammad Yousaf ahead with the score of 66-23 and 69-18 but his opponent compiled himself and won the 3rd set by 69-62. In 4th set Muhammad Yousaf easily thrashed his Australian opponent by 62-37 and won the match by 3-1.
In another Match, Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif knocked out USA’s Ahmed Aly Elsayed by 4-0. Muhammad yousaf won 1st frame by 64-24 but with the brilliant break of 116, Asif won the second set by 129-10. Asif went through his American opponent easily in the 3rd and 4th frame by the score of 73-58 and 84-28 and won the match.
Mubashir Raza also remained victorious against Morocco’s Rafii Amrou by 4-0. He won the 1st frame by 59-11 and with the brake of 53 he also won the 2nd frame by 87-5. In the 3rd and 4th frame Mubashir also defeated Rafii by 58-46 and 65-50 and clinched the game.
Another Pakistani player Asjad Iqbal won his match against Turkish Yilmaz
Yildrim by 4-0. With the break of 62 he won the 1st frame by 80-7. In 2nd and 3rd frame Asjad outclassed Yilmaz by 71-13 and 75-11 and in the last frame Asjad again breaks 69 and won the frame by 114-9 and the match by 4-0.
Muhammad Naseem Akhtar could not make it as he lost the match against Irish player Brendan O`Donoghue by 4-1. In another match Pakistan’s Imran Shahzad lost against Brazilian player Noel Rodrigues Moreira by 3-1.
Knockout round of the tournament is scheduled to be started from Thursday 23rd November 2017.
