4th West Zone Amar Cables T20 championship rollout in Lahore
President West zone Sardar Naushad inaugurated 4th west zone Amar cable T20 championship at Shah Faisal cricket ground Lahore. 48 club teams are participating in the event.
4th west zone Amar cables T20 club cricket championship started in Lahore and opening ceremony was held at Shah Faisal cricket ground Lahore. Amar Ilyas butt CEO Amar cables, Nawab Mansoor Hayat Secretary Zone, Anjum Hafeez, Arshad Mehmood, Qambar Ali Shah, Qasim Shafiq, Manzoor Ali Arif were also present on the occasion.
48 teams are divided in 4 groups. 5 matches were decided on the 1st day of the tournament where Bostan Jimkhana defeated Young Model Town by 4 wickets at Shah Faisal cricket ground. While playing 1st Young Model Town were bowled out on just 89 runs in 19.4 overs. Muhammad Sayam scored 20 runs while Shahid Afridi scored 16 runs. Usman Masood took 4 wickets for 14 runs. Amad Ali, Faheem Khan and Ali Raza took 2 wickets each. In reply, Bostan Jimkhana achieved the target of 90 runs in 15.4 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Usman Asif was pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets for 21 runs from Young Model Town.
In another match played on Cricket center ground between Cricket center team and Anchors Club team, Cricket center team scored 267 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Ahmed Sultan played superbly and hit a splendid century. He scored 143 runs while Anas Mehmood 70 and Amir Hamza were other main scorers.
In reply, Anchors Club team was bowled out in a hurry. They only managed to score 44 runs in 9.5 overs. Niaz Ahmed only moved into doubles figures as he scored 21 runs for Anchors club. Zeeshan Ali took wickets 3 for 13 runs. Muhammad Ahmed, Saif ur Rehman and Hamza Hamyoon took 2 wickets each for cricket center.
