Pakistan Derby, arguably country’s most prestigious thoroughbred horse-racing event, will be the highlight of end-of-season’s classic events when a record lengthy card of 12 races is scheduled at the Racecourse on Sunday.

The Pakistan Derby, sponsored by Bank Alfalah this year, is a term race for four-year-old colts and fillies to be run over a mile-and-a-half. The line up boasts of a field never seen in any other event.
LRC has on offer Rs2.5 million for the horses winning the first three places in the Derby Day racing. The lion’s share of over Rs1 million will go to the Derby purse with the champion to receive Rs700,000 with a cup valued at RS40,000.
