Matloob Ahmed earns the title of the 10th Independence Day Cup Open Golf Championship in the concluding round played at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club, Karachi.
10th Independence Day Cup Open Golf Championship commences from 9th August
Sindh Golf Association(SGA) along with Pakistan Golf Federation is organizing the 10th edition of Independence Day Cup Open Golf Championship sponsored by Pakistan Defence Officers Housing Authority.
Amateurs having handicap 12 and below are eligible for participating in the event while only those Professionals and Senior Professionals can participate who are registered with Pakistan Golf Federation. Professional Seniors must also be 50 years and above age.
The event will be played in 8 different categories. Matches will be contested over 54-hole for Professionals and Amateurs which will be played from 10th to 12th August. Senior Professional matches will be 18-hole, to be contested on 10th August. 9-hole Veterans matches will be held on 9th August. While matches for Senior, Junior, Ladies and DAC&GC Members are schedule to be played on 9th August on 18-holes under the rules of golf approved by R&G and DAC&GC local rules approved by the Committee.
Sindh Golf Association has announced Car award for hole-in-one by Naseer Autos while prize money of PKR 1.7 million will be distributed among winners in Professional category and PKR 0.3 millions to be shared by Senior Professional golfers.
