About U19 Cricket World Cup

The Under-19 World Cup was first staged in 1988 as the Youth World Cup. After a 10-year hiatus, the tournament returned in its present form and has been held as a biennial event since 1998.

India have been the most successful team, winning the title four times, including in 2018. Australia have won it thrice, Pakistan twice, while England, South Africa and Windies have triumphed once each.

The 2018 edition was held in New Zealand, where the Prithvi Shaw-led Indian side were dominant throughout and won the final against Australia in convincing fashion, defeating them by eight wickets.
