Army won on a close call against WAPDA 13-12 in the final of 15th Khawar Shah National Women Baseball Championship that ended successfully at Aashiq Hussain Baseball Stadium, Lahore.
15th Khawar Shah National Women Baseball Championship
Pakistan Federation Baseball is holding the 15th edition of Khawar Shah National Women Baseball Championship after several successful editions of the same championship.
Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, President Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) said that Mr. Shaukat Javed, Chairman Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) has announced the dates of the championship. The event scheduled to be held from December 25 – 29 in Lahore.
A total of ten (10) teams belonging from various departments of the country as well as provinces will be seen participating as well as competeing against each other in the title race of this five-day championship.
Participating teams are namely stated below:
1. Pakistan Army
2. Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)
3. Pakistan Police,
4. Higher Education Commission (HEC)
5. Punjab,
6. Sindh,
7. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)
8. Islamabad
9. Baluchistan and
10. FATA
Syed Fakhar Shah also informed that during the championship the players will be selected for the National Training Camp of Pakistan Women Baseball Team to participate in the 2nd Asian Women’s Baseball Championship which will be staged next year in China.
